Accounting Coordinator

HWP is currently looking to add an Accounting Coordinator to our Accounting & Finance Team. This position will provide hands-on assistance for general accounting operations and support the internal processing of expenses for our speaker bureau programs. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Processing honoraria payments for services provided by authorized speakers who present at meetings facilitated by HWP for its clients; this responsibility includes assuring appropriate documentation and approvals are in place, assigning codes to payments, and entering payment information into QuickBooks™
  • Processing expense reimbursement requests per company requirements and recording them into the general ledger; this responsibility includes coordinating and resolving discrepancies with team members prior to processing, entering payment information into the designated database, and entering payment information into QuickBooks
  • Preparing bank account reconciliations monthly, resolving any discrepancies
  • Completing miscellaneous tasks, as assigned, related to accounts payable processing

The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree or business degree with coursework in accounting. Other requirements include:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks as well as Microsoft® Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good follow-up and detail orientation skills
  • Excellent telephone demeanor
